Five Simple Steps to Enroll
Step 1
Access the Parent Portal
The K12 Parent Portal provides access to your online application to KYVA, along with real-time alerts and quick links to important info.
Step 2
Submit an Application
Once you’ve begun an application in the K12 Parent Portal, click the option to add a new student or continue with your application. Simply fill in the fields with your child’s information, select KYVA, and hit Submit.
Step 3
Complete the Admissions Process
In this step, you’ll provide more detailed information about your child and upload additional documents, such as proof of residency and a birth certificate. For a list of specific documents that will be required, contact our enrollment consultants at 855.550.2736.

Next Steps
All families participate in a pre-recorded webinar with an enrollment consultant. Depending on your student’s situation, additional documents may be required to complete your enrollment and will be provided within your Parent Portal.
Step 5
Official Approval
After successfully completing the enrollment process, your student will be approved. Please check your email for important information regarding your student’s status and how to access the Online School platform.

Eligibility Requirements and Information
Who is eligible to attend Kentucky Virtual Academy (KYVA)?
Any student in grades K–11* who resides in Kentucky is eligible for full-time enrollment.
Proof of Residency
While attending KYVA, you must maintain full-time Kentucky residency.
*Kentucky Virtual Academy currently enrolls students in grades K–11 for the 2023–2024 school year. Grade 12 will be added the following school year.
